Shaquille O'neal, a long time Laker legend and 4-time NBA champion, announced on twitter today that he will be retiring. Shaq dominated the league for 19 seasons and won 3 straight NBA championships here in LA with the Lakers.
Despite his ups and downs with coach Phil Jackson and sidekick Kobe Bryant here in LA, O'neal will be remembered as one of the most exciting and entertaining big men to come through the league.
Shaq played on 5 different teams throughout his career (and yes, he finished with the Boston Celtics), but he will always be remembered as a long-time Laker great.
We will miss you Shaq Diesel.
